Information is also provided on what constitutes sexual assault, the acceptability of sex in dating, sexual offenders (stranger versus acquaintance), and sexual assault hurts victims physically and emotionally. Self-protection measures and the importance of communication with a trusted parent, teacher, sponsor, or friend are stressed, with specific ways of protecting against sexual assault suggested. Information is also given on what to do after a sexual assault, including the importance of seeking medical help and reporting to the police.
