Annotation
Discussions about ethics in mediation are often confused because practitioners and theorists assume that key ethical terms are evident and universally accepted.
Abstract
Such terms are likely to be vague and contentious. Mediators need more grounding in philosophical ethical theory. Philosophers can help by clarifying the language used in claims about ethics and providing a framework, or "grammar," for rational argument. 4 references. (Author abstract modified)
