Very little has been written about the Iranian and Libyan police.
Abstract
Materials seem to be very scarce on this subject, not only in English but also in Farsi and Arabic. Therefore, a general review of recent history of the Police in Iran and Libya, the organization, divisions, scope of authority and the manner in which the general public views the police in each country, and a general comparison between the two systems may be useful as a preliminary attempt to cross the cultural and political boundaries of these two countries. 24 notes, 21 references.
