In order to produce an enlargement of the latent image, a black-and-white negative must ordinarily be prepared. This standard method of reproducing a color correct image can reduce the clarity and quality of the final enlargement. Graphic arts paper is seldom applied within the field of forensic photography. A simplified procedure uses KODAK Kodagraph Transtar TPP-5 positive projection paper rather than standard photographic papers. Overall, the graphic arts paper eliminates the need for photographic film, contact prints, and even the use of a camera. Additionally, KODAK TPP-5 is ideal for enlarging fingerprint images from clear backed lifts due to its high contrast qualities.
