This compendium of sample reports is designed to demonstrate the capabilities and effective use of juvenile court information systems and to show the data that are routinely collected by juvenile courts in their daily functioning.
Abstract
The reports also highlight some of the data analyses that can be used to support the activities of the court. The sample reports are designed for use by local courts that are exploring the possible uses and value of an information system in the hope that they will examine additional information needs before they complete the design phase of their system. Individual reports include the juvenile rap sheet, the daily juvenile detention roster, the prosecutor's exception report, judicial workload and hearing time report, disposition summary of similar cases, summary of monthly workloads, costs of out-of-home placements, and court careers of youths who aged out of the juvenile court original jurisdiction in a year. Each report includes a description of each data element, an explanation of the manner in which data are collected and stored and the information system capabilities related to these data.
