This directory familiarizes educators with a variety of print and audiovisual materials that may be used for teaching adolescents from grades 11 to 13 about drugs (including alcohol and tobacco).
Abstract
The modules stand on their own; however, the films and videotapes module may be used as a companion to each of the other resource modules. This module includes a very brief selection of key reference materials for educators. Films and videotapes have been reviewed and recommended for purchase. Each film has been evaluated and assigned a rating on a 6-point scale based on scientific accuracy, emotional and visual impact, usefulness to the target audience, and effectiveness in assisting people with alcohol and drug-related decisions. The pamphlets, curricula, teaching kits, and other classroom resources have generally not been evaluated. See NCJ-123194-97 for additional directories.
