Abstract
The section on "management in a correctional setting" describes the setting for correctional industries and discusses security issues as well as incentives and benefits provided inmates in correctional industries. A section that reviews the skills required to supervise inmates discusses the self-assessment of current skills, aspects of supervision, inmate personnel procedures, the probationary period, counseling, time management, the evaluation of inmate workers, management reports, and stress management. Training skills and financial-management skills are reviewed in separate sections.
