Abstract
The documents are organized into four sections: I - General; II - Program Descriptions; III - Program Development Guides; and IV - Program Evaluations and Behavioral Studies. They cover the years 1969 through 1982 and do not include documents concerned primarily with individual safety precautions and environmental redesign or other methods that deemphasize community cooperation and organization. Documents listed in section I address theoretical foundations of, broad trends in, and common approaches to community crime prevention; while those in section II describe a variety of community-oriented efforts. Section III includes guides and manuals that help in the establishment, funding, and maintenance of programs; section IV includes impact studies, empirical assessments, reaction and motivational studies, and research on crime prevention awareness and attitudes. 1 note.
