Abstract
After canvassing the gender-neutrality of sentencing reform efforts, she draws upon the results of a consultation conducted with the Canadian Association of Elizabeth Fry Societies (CAEFS) which reveal that although a just deserts rationale may be the solution to unwarranted disparity in a society where there is true equality, until that goal is attained, we must continue to search for an approach that does more than treat unequals (gender, race, class) equally. 17 references.
