Abstract
Part I includes a statistical summary of Part I offenses and tabular data on incidents of Part I major crimes, the impact offenses of robbery and burglary, incidents of Part II crime, the incidence of crime type by community, arrests, and community ranking of impact crimes for 1988 and 1987. Part II, which focuses on youth offenses, contains tabular data on youth arrests, including Part I arrests, offender age and sex, arrest by offense for those 15 years old and under, and arrest by offense for those 16-21 years old. Part III, an analysis of the inmate population at the Nassau County Correctional Center for 1984-88, contains data on sex, race, age, and education. Part IV, which presents data on felony case processing, includes an overview of felony case processing flow as well as data on district court activity and charge at arrest compared to charge at conviction.
