This document details the decisions of the United States Supreme Court on the law of criminal justice administration.
Abstract
Part I includes discussion on the investigation of crime with focus on the exclusionary sanction; the constitutional doctrines relating to law enforcement conduct, including searches and seizures; the issuance and execution of arrest and search warrants; and the detention of persons and related searches. Also included in the discussion are electronic surveillance, interrogation and confessions, and undercover investigations. Part II presents the prosecution and adjudication cases reviewed, including bail and preventive detention, right to a speedy trial, effective assistance of counsel, and sentencing. Table of cases.
