The Des Moines Police Department, in conjunction with the United Way and concerned citizens, has developed a community handbook to assist neighborhood residents in mobilizing their resources against drugs and crime.
Abstract
The Department held a series of meetings with representatives from more than 35 neighborhood associations and city officials. The meetings were designed to identify common concerns and to provide useful information for the handbook. The handbook is available in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Cambodian, and Laotian from the Des Moines Police Department.
