This bibliography provides sources of information on police misconduct.
Abstract
The discharge and dismissal of police officers for various reasons such as failure to take lie detector test, nonconsensual sexual acts, false educational credits, and passing bad checks off duty are covered. Other areas of misconduct explored are failure to act, illegal search and seizure, police corruption, alcohol abuse, police brutality, and harassment. Exploiting police authority, communicating with the media, and civil rights actions are included, along with brutality against police officers and police internal affairs investigations.
