A bibliography is presented for issues relating to drug testing in the workplace, in school, and on the sports field.
Abstract
Issues included are: AIDS and life insurance; constitutional implications; alternatives to urine testing; worker privacy ordinances; managerial concerns; and dragnet drug testing in public schools. The hysteria created by drug testing is addressed, along with the need for a reasonable suspicion standard, and risk factors for drug use among young adults. Drug testing in the unionized workplace, involuntary random post-employment drug testing, and the reliability of drug tests are included.
