"Just Say No" Back-to-School Month is held each October to set a drug-free tone for the new school year.
Abstract
"Just Say No" International is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing the use of alcohol and other drugs by children and young teenagers through its support of "Just Say No" Clubs and the development of other activities related to this goal. The keys to making "Just Say No" Back-to-School Month a major success are: (1) the enthusiastic support and participation of the schools, parents, and the community and (2) thorough planning and coordination at every level. The 7 steps to a successful Back-to-School Month are: (1) determining the lead organization; (2) establishing a Back-to-School Month Planning Committee; (3) developing a Master Plan; (4) establishing Subcommittees; (5) planning Back-to-School Month activities; (6) celebrating Back-to-School Month; and (7) conducting an End-of-Project Evaluation.
