A series of experiments demonstrates that many products of full-color copiers can be differentiated by use of microscopy, infrared reflectance, and laser luminescence. The copiers used in the research are categorized as electrophotographic, photographic, and cylithographic; major models in each category are described. Results indicate that document analysis can determine the machine origin of a document without destruction of the document. 1 figure and 8 references (Author abstract modified)
