Tables present statistics on admissions to and releases from the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services and include data on adult inmates currently confined as of June 1990, releases to parole and to community corrections, parole discharges and revocations, and recidivism statistics for fiscal years 1981 through 1987.
Abstract
The data provide information pertaining to sex, race, age, offense category, and sentence. A total of 2,322 inmates were incarcerated in Nebraska correctional facilities in 1990. There were 1,163 admissions of male and 135 admissions of female inmates in 1990. Ninety male and 18 female inmates were released in 1990. The 1986-1987 recidivism rate was 27.6 percent for females and 23.2 percent for males.
