Abstract
This volume contains readings recommended for seminar participants. The articles cover a wide range of subjects including the relationship between crime and mental disorders, investigations into the psychological problems of jail prisoners, the theory behind labeling and treating mental illness in jails, and behavioral approaches to treating violent sex offenders. Other topics include mentally retarded offenders, psychopharmacology and aggression, mental disabilities, diagnostic techniques, criminal psychopaths, and alternatives to the institutionalization of the mentally ill.
