These statistics reflect adult inmates confined in Nebraska correctional facilities as of June 1991, admissions to the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (DCS), releases from the DCS, releases to parole and community corrections, parole discharges, and commitment releases.
Abstract
Detailed statistics are given for the adult male and female populations, adults on parole, offense categories for admissions to and releases from the DCS, length of prison stay, and minimum and maximum sentences. Data are also provided on age, race, sex, commitment area, parole date, parole violation type, and recidivism. Comparative data are presented for the adult average monthly population from fiscal year 1981 to fiscal year 1991. Offense categories included in the statistics are homicide, robbery, burglary, assault, theft, sex offenses, restraint, arson, drugs, fraud, weapons, morals, and motor vehicle incidents.
