The first paper, on European migration and crime, outlines the main general criminological contribution to the problem of criminality of migrants and analyzes the literature on the psychological adjustment of migrants. The author discusses internal migration, worker's migration in Europe, and the criminality of European migrant workers and recommends direction for future research. The paper on the typology of offenders and typology of treatments focuses on the effectiveness of treatment, clinical psychiatric methodology, and problems of language arising from the analysis of the content of observation data. The third paper reviews research on the relationship between types of treatment and types of offenders. The author also examines the potential value of this type of research in improving the overall effectiveness of correctional systems. The final report, also concerned with aspects related to the treatment of offenders, describes the legal decision strategy used in Sweden to choose different methods of treatment for offenders, discusses the theoretical framework for the question of "type of treatment for type of offender," and suggests new directions for analysis and research.
