Statewide and county tables present an overview of juvenile court dispositions in Pennsylvania and summarize information forwarded by all juvenile courts regarding delinquency dispositions in 1990.
Abstract
During 1990, 35,539 delinquency-related cases were disposed of in Pennsylvania. Probation was the most frequently utilized disposition (21.7 percent) followed by informal adjustment (13.2 percent), placement (12.9 percent), other (9.0 percent), complaint withdrawn (8.7 percent), warned/counseled (8.3 percent), continued on previous disposition (8.1 percent), and consent decree. All remaining dispositions totaled 10.2 percent. Transfer to criminal court accounted for only 1.1 percent of all dispositions. Delinquency dispositions, including dispositional reviews, increased by 6.6 percent in 1990 in comparison to 1989 figures. 24 tables
