Abstract
UNAFEI sponsored training programs, meetings, and research during 1989 and plans to continue these activities in 1990. The papers highlight approaches to international cooperation in crime prevention, criminal policy, and criminal justice administration in Europe; the role of crime prevention policies in national development plans; and United Nations guidelines regarding crime prevention and criminal justice. Other papers analyze development, crime, and crime control strategies in Yugoslavia, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, and Zambia and strategies directed at computer crime. Further papers focus on ways to protect victims' rights while conducting crime prevention programs, issues related to human rights, victim services and victims' rights in the United States and Europe, and law reforms related to victims' rights.
