Suggested factors that may affect the attitude-behavior relationship and need to be considered when trying to explain and predict police behavior include behavior, environment, behavioral intention, attitude, organizational factors, political culture, legal environment, and situational factors. The model objective is to specify the role these factors play in explaining police behavior and, further, the influence of these factors on attitudes. Little systematic research has investigated the relationships of all of these factors in a single model. This model provides a foundation for such research. 3 notes, a figure, and 55 references
