This publication presents application forms and information regarding Federal funding to conduct service demonstration projects to prevent the abuse or neglect of children whose parents are drug abusers and to provide comprehensive, interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary, coordinated services to address the needs of these children and their families.
Abstract
The emergency services should provide not only immediate relief for the child and family, but also ongoing neighborhood-based, barrier-free, and user-friendly services to improve children's lives over the long term. Applicants should emphasize the development or enhancement of model services in areas such as outreach, family support, and self-help. Projects to be funded also include public awareness and education programs, interdisciplinary training, and improved intervention and prevention services. Applications will be rated with respect to their objectives and needs, results or benefits expected, approach, staff background, and organizational experience. Forms, background materials, and list of OSAP grant recipients.
