The report provides an organizational chart, narrative overview, and caseload data for the State Supreme Court, the Court of Appeals, the Court of Criminal Appeals, and the State trial courts. Each overview describes the organization, administration, selection, jurisdiction, and procedure in the various types of court. The section on trial courts also outlines the functions of the clerks of court. District-by-district statistics are presented on the circuit civil caseload, the criminal court caseload, and the chancery court caseload. There is also a chart and narrative regarding Tennessee's courts of limited jurisdiction, namely general sessions courts, juvenile courts, and municipal courts. 1 appendix
