This unit guide is designed to assist the law enforcement instructor in developing an appropriate lesson plan for a basic course in crimes against persons.
Abstract
A curriculum is outlined for each component of the crimes against persons unit: extortion; assault; battery; assault with a deadly weapon; mayhem; inflicting corporal injury on a spouse; assault with intent to commit certain felonies; hate crime; robbery; kidnapping or false imprisonment; aiding or encouraging a suicide; murder; excusable homicide; manslaughter; Title 18, Section 241 of the U.S. Code, on "conspiracy against rights of citizens;" Title 18, Section 242 of the U.S. Code, on "deprivation of rights under color of law;" and elder and dependent adult abuse. Performance objectives are specified for each topic.
