Focus in this annual report is on the Family Dynamics program and fundraising activities of its Board of Trustees.
Abstract
The intent of Family Dynamics is to strengthen families and communities in New York City and to protect children from abuse and neglect. New programs and fundraising events have been added to ensure that Family Dynamics can respond to the needs of all families who seek the organization's help. Programs include parenting education, respite care nurseries, counseling services, crisis intervention, advocacy, AIDS prevention education, intergenerational programs, an after school program, a creative art program for parents and children, adolescent rap groups, day care outreach, and teen pregnancy prevention. Dedicated staff and volunteers provided services in 1991 to a total of 5,521 families. Volunteer activities include serving as big sisters or brothers, helping with family outings, fundraising, and providing administrative support. 4 footnotes and 2 tables
