Following an introductory section outlining the Council's purposes, membership, and organization, this report discusses judicial selection and evaluation activities in 1991-1992. The second report outlines the reports and recommendations submitted by the Council. Major reports written during this period covered topics including rural alternative dispute resolution, a child visitation mediation pilot project, the Alaska Sentencing Commission, and document imaging. Work in progress for 1993 will deal with rural justice issues and offer follow-up recommendations related to the Sentencing Commission. The appendixes include a current listing of statutory and constitutional law affecting the Judicial Council; a log of judicial applicants, nominees, and appointees; a log of sitting judges and their retention election dates; and summaries of Council procedures for judicial selection and evaluation.
