This report presents data on admissions to and releases of male and female inmates from the State of Washington's prisons as well as information on average daily populations, age and racial distribution, type of offense, work release, and community placement.
Abstract
The average daily population for December 1992 was 10,105; 1,051 of these inmates were assigned to work release. The female average daily capacity for December 1992 totaled 620; 167 of these female inmates were assigned to work release. As of December 1992, there had been 447 admissions to Washington prisons: 290 new admissions and 108 readmissions. The total admissions for the July 1992 through December 1992 period had been 2,510.
