Abstract
For each award, information is provided on the name and address of the grantee or contractor, the program director or principal investigator, and the dollar amount awarded applicable to fiscal year 1992. The NIJ priorities for fiscal year 1992 include gangs and violent offenders; victims of crime; community policing and police effectiveness; intermediate sanctions and drug-user accountability; drug prevention; drug testing; intensive prosecution and adjudication; money laundering and financial investigation; information systems, statistics, and technology; and evaluation. For fiscal year 1993, the six broad goals are to reduce violent crimes and their consequences; reduce drug-related crimes; reduce the consequences of crime for individuals, households, organizations, and communities; develop household, school, business, workplace, and community crime prevention programs; improve the response to offenses, offending, and victimization; and develop and evaluate information regarding responses to problems and the use of new technologies.
