This report on felon parolees returned to California prisons during 1992 notes that 52,871 felon parolees were returned, for a rate of 59.2 per 100 average daily parolee and PAL populations.
Abstract
The rate of parolee returns was 44.0 for females and 60.8 for males. The rate of parolees returned to custody and returned to prison decreased significantly from 50.3 in 1991 to 39.1 in 1992. In addition, the rate of parolees returned with a new term increased slightly from 19.5 in 1991 to 20.1 in 1992. Figures, footnotes, and data tables showing statistics for each year since 1983
