This report on felon parolees returned to California prisons during 1991 notes that 57,344 felon parolees were returned, for a rate of 69.7 per 100 average daily parolee and PAL populations.
Abstract
The rate of parole returns was 55.7 for females and 71.2 for males. The rate of parolees returned to custody and returned to prison decreased significantly from 77.1 in 1990 to 69.7 in 1992. In addition, the rate of parolees returned with a new term decreased slightly from 19.9 in 1990 to 19.5 in 1991. Figures, footnotes, and data tables showing statistics for each year since 1983
