This document contains several articles dealing with the revisions to the Dutch criminal code recommended by the Moons Committee, created by the Netherlands Ministry of Justice in 1989.
Abstract
The Committee was instructed to focus particularly on pretrial procedures; it published reports on pretrial detention, the revision of preparatory judicial investigations, the use of DNA fingerprinting, the use of an interpreter for the translation of statements of documents, and special procedures for defendants who plead guilty. The articles described here critique the Moon Commission recommendations from the perspectives of prosecutors, lawyers, and judges. Chapter references
