Abstract
The meeting was attended by over 40 State planners and local practitioners and by researchers and analysts from 15 States involved in violence prevention programs. The first section of the publication presents perspectives from four national experts, while the second section of the publication documents State and local programs presented at the meeting. State and local program descriptions are organized according to statement of the problem, goals and objectives, program components, results and impact, and contact information. Programs in Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nebraska, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Washington are detailed. A list of meeting participants is included.
