This report presents information from the first quarter of 1994 on inmates released from Florida's prisons.
Abstract
A total of 56.1 percent of the offenders were released through control release, compared to 69.5 percent during the same period in 1993. Of those released through control release, 95.2 percent were supervised. A total of 73.7 percent of all releases were released with supervision to follow release. The released inmates served an average of 24.2 months, or 42.1 percent of their sentences. The percentage of sentence served increased from 35.2 percent in March 1993 to 44.2 percent in March 1994. Violent offenders released during the quarter served an average of 52.9 percent of their sentence. Male offenders served 42.8 percent of their sentence, while females served 36.7 percent.
