These checklists on criminal procedures are designed to provide a quick reference to legal doctrines and cases and cover the fifth and sixth amendments.
Abstract
Chapters focus on self-incrimination, statements, bail, indigency, pretrial identification, grand jury functions, discovery, double jeopardy, right to counsel, confrontation, constitutional hearsay, jury selection and performance, public trials, speedy trials, and entrapment. Chapters also deal with due process, Miranda rights, evidence, prisoner access to courts, and waiver of counsel. The checklists are organized topically, with elements of each constitutional area in outline format. Major Federal cases are quoted for each legal proposition to illustrate the rules' application and source. Cases cited in the edition are current through the 1992-1993 U.S. Supreme Court term and Volume 990 of the Federal Reporter Second. A table of cases is included
