These pistol-carbine weapons are gaining particular favor in urban areas. These short rifles have many advantages, particularly the range and power of the rifle cartridges. Using a standard-powered handgun round in a rifle also increases the probability of a hit. The author personally tested an Olympic Arms 10mm weapon supplied with a semiautomatic lower receiver. The weapon had a barrel- suppresser unit with a combined length of 16 inches, making it legal for use on the street. More than 300 rounds were fired in the full-auto testing session. Other tests included testing as a carbine and load testing. A few problems were encountered, but most can be corrected.
