Michigan's criminal justice network includes law enforcement agencies, prosecuting attorneys, courts, corrections, and the Central Records Division (CRD) of the Michigan State Police. Legislative changes have been made to refine the criminal records handling process. Law enforcement agencies normally begin the CRR process by completing the RI-7 fingerprint card and also record arrest information.
