Abstract
The book contains more than 2,400 questions, all of which are included in the text and on computer diskette. Physical security questions concern such topics as access control systems, intrusion alarm systems, facility lighting, security education, emergency preparedness, facility maintenance, insurance, information security, vehicle control, hazardous materials, fire and industrial accident prevention, lock and key control, voice mail, and shipping and receiving. Retail and financial security questions focus on such areas as physical security, accounts receivable, purchasing, inventories, burglary and shoplifting prevention, internal theft controls, cash handling procedures, sales invoices, credit cards, safes, employee payroll, store operations, and incident reports. Questions related to computing and computer area security deal with access control, alarm systems, physical security, fire prevention, passwords and other audit trails, internal system security, computer intrusions, backup procedures, media storage, employment screening, computing security education, virus prevention, quality assurance, and equipment maintenance. An appendix contains a list of hazardous materials.
