This statistical report contains data on offenders in the State of Washington's adult correctional facilities and in work release programs, prison admissions, and prison releases for fiscal year 1994.
Abstract
Data are tabulated on the average daily population of institutions and rated capacity by month, female inmates, inmate racial distribution, offenses, violent crime convictions, inmate age distribution, and sentencing. Prison admission and release data are provided by month and admission type, county of conviction, age, race, sex, and offense. Data indicate that the average daily population in major institutions ranged from 5,107 to 7,857 inmates during 1994. The average daily population in minor institutions varied between 1,361 and 1,644 inmates during the same period, and the number of offenders on work release ranged from 982 to 1,102. Tables and figures
