Abstract
A status report on Attorney General crime prevention initiatives focused on protection of the elderly, family and community crimes, crimes against children, domestic abuse, and stalking. General procedures for investigating civil rights complaints against police officers were discussed that covered complaint receipt, screening, investigation, and prosecution. Emerging technologies in law enforcement were identified, including videotapes and computer systems. Conference participants also addressed community gang prevention and offered guidelines to facilitate police-media relations. References
