Abstract
Intended for all professionals in practice and in training who are or will be involved in investigations of child sexual abuse, the text emphasizes that no single discipline or agency can meet the needs of abused children and their families. Chapters on investigative interviewing cover the investigative protocol, preparing for the child interview, the child interview process, corroborating interviews, and interviews of the suspect. Other chapters discuss building teams and the roles and responsibilities of each team member. The book concludes with discussion of the team decisionmaking process and decisionmaking in complex environments. Checklists, case examples, index, and 79 references (Publisher summary modified)
