This report summarizes the work of Wisconsin's Joint Legislative Council during 1992-94 and its committees that reported to the 1993 legislature.
Abstract
The Council held eight meetings between April 1992 and June 1994. Eighteen of the 44 proposals introduced in the 1993 legislative session were enacted, and 16 of the 26 Law Revision Committee proposals were enacted. The Council operated with two statutory committees, the American Indian Study Committee and the Law Revision Committee, and 19 special committees. Topics on which the special committees focused included alternative education programs, campaign financing, farm safety, foster care, emergency medical services, sexual harassment, and female offenders in the correctional system.
