The various sections cover Medicaid, child welfare and social services funding, income support services, and additional sources of Federal funding. These include child day care funding; nutritional programs; funding for health, mental health, and substance abuse services; juvenile justice services; and educational services. Because of changing economic conditions, communities are beginning to consider how programs such as those described here might be integrated in terms of service delivery and funding to meet the needs of vulnerable children, youths, and families in a coordinated manner.
