Data on crime index offenses reported to to the New York State Uniform Crime Reporting Program are presented by region and county for 1992 and 1993.
Abstract
The 1,010,577 index offenses reported in 1993 represented a 4.5-percent decrease over 1992. Violent crimes, including murder, rape, robbery, and aggravated assault, decreased by 3.8 percent. Property crimes, such as burglary, larceny, and motor vehicle theft, declined by 4.7 percent. Detailed data for New York City and New York's 53 counties compare populations for 1992 and 1993, index crime rates, and crime rates per 100,000 population.
