Abstract
The first part of the book presents "A Sociology of Knowledge Analysis of Three Different Concepts": (1) The Wartime Black Market: Profiteering with Impunity; (2) On the Margin of Capitalism: Theories of Poverty and Irregular Work; and (3) The Rise and Fall of Underground Economy Theory, 1977-1989. Part Two contains definitions, structure, and process of underground economy, including important distinctions in the literature, and the paradox of capitalist development.
