Abstract
Background chapters give an overview and highlight the basic nature of the problem. Additional chapters focus on victims, providing firsthand accounts by victims and a discussion of support groups and individual therapy for both male and female victims and their families. Chapters on perpetrators describe innovative research to understand the nature of abuse by health care professionals and clergy and effective types of treatment and rehabilitation.
