This directory lists and describes approximately 100 organizations that provide training and professional development activities of youth workers and programs serving youth.
Abstract
The organizations are listed in alphabetical order. The first page of each organization's description describes the organization and the services it provides, as well as areas of expertise and regions served. The second page provides an overview of the topic areas in which the organization has trained, based on the self-reports of the training organization. Management and administration training focuses on board development, budgeting and financial management, fundraising, leadership development, performance appraisal, supervision, worker stress management, and other topics. Training in direct service skills focuses on assessment, case management, communication, community outreach, counseling, interviewing, treatment planning, and working with specific groups. Other training covers community networking, laws and regulations, philosophical approaches, and areas of general knowledge. Index by geographical region
