Abstract
The volume is intended for use by sexual harassment victims considering filing a hostile environment claim, scholars interested in women's issues, attorneys unfamiliar with this area, employers interested in limiting their liability by taking steps to prevent sexual harassment in their workplaces, and law students in courses related to sex discrimination or sexual harassment. Individual sections cover the historical development of the claim, elements of the prima facie case, employer liability for employee acts, filing requirements, remedies, evidence, and alternative claims. They also provide guidelines for using online and looseleaf research services, paper indexes, special libraries, and organizations to locate primary and secondary sources of information on the claim. Further sections present lists and descriptions of primary and secondary sources, including Federal court cases, agency decisions, laws, regulations, briefs, policy memoranda, text books, surveys, journal articles, videos, and others.
