Abstract
The kit contains a survey form to elicit information on strategies for action. Specific strategies for organizing activities during the National Crime Victims' Rights Week are described that focus on information and referral, public education, and community awareness. Sample speeches, letters, public service announcements, and press releases are included. Fund raising activities related to special events, gifts, and promotions are detailed. The use of volunteers to promote victims' rights is discussed, and camera-ready artwork is provided. Appendixes contain public service announcement posters, logo for special events, ideas for bookmarks and buttons, certificates of appreciation, a commemorative calendar featuring victims' rights, and a statistical overview of crime and victimization in the United States.
